
1. Introduction The product is composed of base pipe and self-cleaning stainless steel circumferentially slotted filtering element. The base pipe meets API standards.. The filtering element is machined, embedded on the base pipe by thread.. The self-cleaning technique of circumferential slotted element is used. The design gives out high mechanical strength, high matching precision, wide application, large across area and self-cleaning ability. It is an ideal sand control solution for oil and gas wells. 
2. Filtering performance Self-cleaning circumferential slotted filtering element. Filtering element is composed of several circular stainless steel components. The tiny slot size depends on the ID and OD of the two adjacent components, and it is circular and easy to be installed and positioned with high matching precision and less error.. Available slot size is within 0.08-0.7mm. The error can be maintained lower than 0.01mm, so as to meet the filtering precision requirements.. The tiny slot opening has coning surface, like a reversed horn, through which the fluids can pass smoothly.. Long service life, and self-unplugging.. The filtering element is composed of multiple concentrically circumferential slots which are dense, long and highly permeable.
3. Advantages ■ Flush OD, which provide safer operation. The filtering element is embedded into the base pipe to avoid profile in OD, which provide better operating flexibility for hostile conditions, like horizontal wells. ■ Unique helical holes layout on the base pipe. API standard tubing or casing is used as the base pipe, which is perforated helically, so as to minimize the opening area on the cross-section of the base pipe and enhance the mechanical strength while maintaining overall flow area. The formation sands are blocked and the oil/gas/water enters into the screen through the circumferential slot opening, by which sand control is realized. ■ Excellent anti-corrosion performance API standard tubing or casing is used for the base pipe and 304 stainless steel is used for the self-cleaning circumferential slotted filtering element. For the special requirements for the wells with H2S, CO2 and CL-, the anti-corrosion casing or tubing can be used for the base pipe.
4. Other features ■ Material The base pipe is J55 and N80, or specified/provided by the client. 304 stainless steel is used for the high-density punched slot shroud. ■ Filtering precision. Precision parameters are determined based on the client’s reservoir data or experiment reports. The precision range is within 80-700μm. ■ Other parameters. The punched holes on the base pipe are circle. This design has higher strength and larger area than the straight slot. Therefore, the screen body can bear the more compression stress due to wellbore shrinkage or collapse. The filtering element is composed of circular stainless steel components, with high rigidity and compression strength.
